Feeling Disconnected? Here's How We Can Find Our Way Back

In today’s fast-paced world, with the constant pressures of work, family, and finances, it’s no wonder so many couples feel disconnected. I see it all the time — intimacy quietly slips down the list of priorities, and suddenly we don’t know how to find our way back to each other.

In my recent interview on Channel 7, I had the chance to speak from the heart about The Making Love Retreat — and why this work matters so deeply to me. I also want to thank the Weekend Sunrise show for showcasing and representing my work in a way that didn't sexualise or sensationalise this important subject.

Whether you’ve been together for years or decades, I invite you to watch it. It’s especially for couples who know they love each other but feel they're missing something.

Stress is the biggest factor that causes disconnection
Life is so full on for everyone these days. So many stresses on so many levels that is far more intense than it was 30 years ago.

To cope, we shut down emotionally or physically. And when we do, intimacy tends to fall away. The good news? There is a way back.

At The Making Love Retreat, I guide couples through a powerful re-education around intimacy. We focus on slowing down, relaxing the body, and being present, rather than pushing for performance or outcomes. Through mindful practices, gentle movement, and heartfelt communication, I help couples rediscover safety, openness, and connection. And when we truly relax, our hearts naturally open. In fact, when men relax, and feel safe, they tend to open up more emotionally. When women relax, and feel safe they open up more physically.

One of the most beautiful things I witness is how quickly couples begin to shift. Sometimes, even within the first day. I’ve seen women who haven’t been able to make love for years feel safe enough to reconnect, and men who’ve struggled with performance anxiety find that it all just falls away so naturally.

We have couples who are from their 20's to 80. This retreat resonates most deeply with people aged 40–60. It’s a pivotal turning point in life. The kids are growing up or have already left home, and couples are asking, “What now?” For many, this is when disconnection quietly creeps in — not because love is gone, but because connection has been lost.

It’s not that couples have fallen out of love. They’ve fallen out of connection.

I invite you to watch my full interview on Channel 7 and hear more about how couples are transforming their relationships — sometimes in just one weekend.

And if you feel a quiet yes in your heart, take the next step and explore The Making Love Retreat coming up in October 2025. This could be the reset your relationship has been waiting for.
